Cyber Journalism Training, Trains Public Relations Personnel in the Industrial Age 4.0
Jakarta, – Head of Police Public Relations Division, Inspector General of Police. Sandi Nugroho opened Cyber Journalism training which aims to prepare Polri Public Relations Division personnel, so they can adapt agilely in the midst of the increasingly rapid development of industry 4.0. This program is a priority program for the National Police Chief, General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
“Cyber Journalism is a journalistic activity that utilizes existing technology. Therefore, currently Public Relations personnel are required to be sensitive to existing issues and master technology, considering that the current flow of information changes every second,” Sandi said when opening the event, Monday (5/6/2023).
This Cyber Journalism training includes various modules and practical exercises covering important areas such as digital storytelling, data journalism, social media management and multimedia reporting. Participants will learn how to make effective use of technology in their journalistic activities, with the aim of maintaining accuracy, credibility and relevance in a fast-paced digital world.
This program is designed to improve participants’ skills in creating content, conducting digital research, verifying facts, and interacting with audiences through various online platforms.
Sandi reminded Polri Public Relations personnel to continue to improve their competence and adapt to the development of communication and information technology which has caused an abundance of information circulating.
“Public Relations personnel are also reminded to continue to improve their competence and be able to adapt to developments in communication and information technology which has resulted in an abundance of information circulating,” Sandi said.
This Cyber Journalism training is part of Polri’s commitment to keep abreast of technological developments and remain at the forefront of dealing with ever-changing media changes.
